Intelligent ramblings of mr. Clarkson

 Image from one of my favorite Top Gear specials, the North Pole Expedition I am talking of course about Jeremy Clarkson, the Top Gear presenter, and his book ‘For crying out Loud’.  For most of the time I find Clarkson simply ingenious. The man is gifted with a unique talent to see through complicated things, and present them in a simple manner. Startups and web services we use at ManageWP

 During the development of our startup, ManageWP, I started using a lot of tools made by other startups. Thought I’d share some of them. Newrelic is absolutely brilliant piece of software which tells you what is happening with your application. You can use it for profiling, diagnostics and statistics for your web app. We started using Sendgrid to send our emails. The service appears to be useful but there is one problem. Smart Youtube hits 1,000,000 downloads

 I am very happy that one of my first WordPress plugins hit 1,000,000 downloads this week. Smart Youtube allows users to easily embed Youtube videos to WordPress blogs and is one of the most popular WordPress plugins of all time. It is followed by SEO Smart Links with nearly half a million of downloads and SEO Friendly Images with 368,000 downloads. The combined downloads of all my WordPress plugins are now at 2,500,000. Dating is like job hunting

 It just struck me. I don’t know if that was something obvious that everybody knew, but I need to make a note. Dating is exactly like job hunting. You end up browsing ads, going to blind dates, expecting the person across you will be suitable for you. But they rarely are. You get disappointed as everything looks great on the outside but once you meet them better you start to realize there is a lot to be desired.
